The international period, in which five Sevillistas will take part, kicks off on Thursday. Tomas Vaclík is first up with the Czech Republic, who at 18:00 CET will come face to face with Poland in Gdansk. The truly important match comes for them on Monday though, when they are playing for their spot in League B against Slovakia.

Quincy Promes' Holland are also playing for their survival, although this time with two matches. They will play at 20:45 in Amsterdam against France. Three days later and at the same time, they play Germany in Gelsenkirchen to finish the group. They can secure their survival with one point from the six, as long as they don't fall to defeat by more than three goals in Germany. To finish first, they would have to beat France by more than a goal and draw in Germany at least, or get all six points.

Only Argentina, with a double friendly against Mexico, is going into the international under no pressure

Argentina have a lot less to worry about, closing 2018 with a double friendly against Mexico. While a large part of the country is waiting for the second leg of River Plate and Boca Juniors on the 24th, Mercado and Franco Vázquez' Albiceleste will play the Mexican team on the 17th at 01:00 CET in Córdoba and the 21st at the same time in Mendoza.

André Silva rounds off the Sevillistas' participation in the international break with Portugal's two matches in the UEFA Nations League. With only a draw against Italy at the San Siro, they are guaranteed to win the group. Even if they lose, they can still win should they beat Poland in Guimaraes on Tuesday, who could end up relegated at the end of the group.
