The new national team manager of the Czech Republic, Jaroslav Silhavy, will fulfil his long-term ambition in the next international break after the sudden resignation of Karel Jarolim, motivated by the heavy loss in their last friendly against Russia. The new Czech manager certainly wasted no time in calling up the team's first-choice goalkeeper, Sevilla's Tomás Vaclík.

After their opening game defeat against Ukraine, the Czech Republic will contest two matches in the UEFA Nations League, both of them away from home. On Saturday 13th at 15:00 they will face Slovakia in Trnava, and three days later on Tuesday 16th they will face Ukraine in Kharkiv at 20:45.
