Ahead of the Under-21s UEFA European Championship, which begin next month, Lucien Agoumé has been called up to the France's provisional squad by manager Gérald Baticle. The midfielder, if he makes the final squad, will take part in the tournament which consists of four groups, with France placed into Group C alongside Portugal, Poland and Georgia. Before the tournament begins, they will host Uzbekistan in a friendly match on Sunday 4 May at 18:45 CEST at the Stade de la Source.
On 11 June, when the tournament kicks off in Slovakia, the French national team will take on Portugal at the Sihoti Stadium at 21:00. On Matchday 2, they will take on Georgia three days later at the MSK Zilina Stadium, also at 21.00. Lastly, France Under-21s will close the group stage against Poland on 17 June at 18.00 at the same venue where they will face Georgia. Gérald Baticle's side will be looking to improve on the results of the last UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2023, where they were eliminated in the quarter-finals.
In addition, Sow has been called up by Switzerland for their friendly double-header in the United States. The first will be against Mexico on 7 June in Salt Lake City at 22:00. Finally, in the early hours of 11 June, at 02:00, the Swiss team will take on the United States in Nashville.
