SAÚL: "THAT FIRST HALF WAS ONE OF OUR BEST PERFORMANCES, BUT WE COULDN'T REPLICATE IT IN THE SECOND"

Saúl Ñíguez, Álvaro Ferllo and Dodi Lukébakio all spoke to the media following the 4-3 defeat to Atlético de Madrid. Saúl started, "There are a lot of positives to take from today, but it's a shame we didn't manage to control the second half. We knew it was going to be a tough game, it's always tricky here, but especially given their recent form. That first half was one of our best performances of the season but we couldn't replicate it in the second. They kept pushing and managed to steal the three points."

Álvaro Ferllo said, "It's a really painful one to take. We reacted really well to going behind but the three points have escaped us. We're all shattered, it has been a long week. We need to rest before picking ourselves up before the Celta game. But I thought it was a really positive performance. We have to acknowledge what we did well. Personally I am feeling good and the confidence is continuing to grow. But days like today frustrate you as a goalkeeper. I wasn't able to help us get the result we wanted."

Finally, Lukébakio stated, "I'm proud of the team today despite the end result. We competed very well but now the focus must be on keeping up the hard work."
