Lucien Agoumé was the first of our players in international action as France Under-21s beat Uzbekistan 2-1. Goals from Lepenant and Odobert secured the victory in France's only friendly match ahead of the European Under-21 Championship, which Agoumé has made the squad for. He came on as a second-half substitute against Uzbekistan, replacing Sildillia.

It is worth mentioning that the eligibility criteria for the tournament in Slovakia states that players must have been 21 years old or younger at the start of the qualifying campaign. Therefore, despite Agoumé turning 23 in February, he is still eligible to play. France Under-21s will play in group C and their first match is against Portugal in Trenčín, kicking off at 21:00 CEST on Wednesday 11 June. They then face Georgia and Poland, both in Žilina, at 21:00 CEST on Saturday 14 June and 18:00 CEST on Tuesday 17 June respectively.
