RED-HOT GOALSCORING FORM

On Sunday night we secured an emphatic 3-0 victory against Granada CF as we went five games unbeaten, four of which were victories. It was also the eighth consecutive game in which we have found the back of the net, our best run in LaLiga since January 2022, when we scored in 15 consecutive games. In those eight games, we have scored 15 goals at an average of 1.875 goals per game.

During this run, our main source of goals has been Youssef En-Nesyri, who scored his 70th goal for the club on Sunday. Bringing him level to Wissam Ben Yedder's tally, the Moroccan is now one of our top ten goalscorers of all time. If he nets in one of the remaining four games of the season, he will claim that tenth position for himself having only joined the club in January 2020.

En-Nesyri has scored 13 LaLiga goals in 29 matches this season, the same number as he managed in the last two seasons combined. He found the back of the net eight times during the 2022/23 campaign and five times in 2021/22, in a total of 54 games. With eight goals in 2024, he is the fifth top scorer in LaLiga this calendar year, behind Sorloth (11), Dovbyk, Lewandowski and Vinicius Jr (all 9).
