Since the season ended last weekend for Sevilla FC Women, our international players have been busy with their national teams.
Winger Lucía Corrales, who has been on loan in Nervión from FC Barcelona, ended a season of significant growth by making her debut with the Spanish senior team away to Belgium, where they defeated their hosts 5-1 to secure first place in their group of the UEFA Women's Nations League. In a match in which fellow Sevillista, Esther Sullastres was a substitute, Corrales came on in the 77th minute, replacing Sevilla academy graduate, Olga Carmona.
Another of our loan players this season, Natalia Padilla Bidas, played the full 90 minutes in Poland's 4-0 away win against Northern Ireland. Meanwhile, Portugal's Diana Gomes did not participate in the tough 6-0 defeat by England in Spain's other group match, but in the early hours of the morning it was Pamela González's turn, scoring the decisive goal in Uruguay's 2-2 draw in a friendly on the road against Mexico.
