KIKE SALAS: "WE DROPPED A POINT AFTER A DEFENSIVE MISTAKE AT THE END"

Kike Salas was the first to speak after the defeat against Atlético de Madrid. He began by saying "We started the match well, competing. They equalised without creating many clear chances. We kept on fighting, we tried to attack and I think we were good, but we dropped a point after a defensive mistake at the end. We were comfortable in the first half, we started well, but they have a great team and they pressed in the second half. In the final few minutes it was more difficult for us, they finished well and it's a pity that the game slipped away from us. We have to get up quickly, recharge our batteries for Friday and head into the final few games because there are still points left to play for. We want to make the fans happy, they deserve it." 

Akor Adams said "For most of the game we did well enough to get the win. In the first half we played with a lot of intensity. In the second half we tried to go on the counter," highlighting the intensity shown in the first half. Despite the defeat, Adams emphasised the importance of not looking back and improving the fine details: "We will try to improve every day. The most important thing is to take points from every game and we hope to do that in Valencia." 

Sambi Lokonga expressed his frustration after the defeat, highlighting the team's effort despite the negative result. “We have to lift our heads and keep going, but the truth is that it hurts a lot this defeat because we played very well today.” Despite the disappointment, Lokonga was positive and focused on the next challenge: "It's another defeat, but now we have another game in Valencia, which is very important. Finally, Lucien Agoumé commented "The result hurts a lot, because we tried hard and we came up short. We conceded in the 93rd minute. There are fine margins that are costing us games and we have to work on them to get back to winning ways. Starting tomorrow, we have to start preparing for the match against Valencia. Sometimes we have to concentrate more, because we do good things and in the last two games we have lost in the final few minutes. We have to cut out the mistakes as soon as possible. I'm happy for the goal, it's my first with this shirt, but it's a pity it wasn't the winning goal."
