LUKÉBAKIO DEMONSTRATES HIS GOALSCORING INSTINCT

Due to his hard work, consistency and efficiency in front of goal, Dodi Lukébakio has become a key player during his second season at the club. His brace last night, his first in a Sevilla shirt, helped claim all three points away to RCD Espanyol. He now has five goals this campaign, the same total as he managed in the entirety of the 2023/24 season.

Lukébakio's goalscoring instinct is responsible for the last six points we have picked up in LaLiga. He scored the winner in the derby against Real Betis as well as the double against RCD Espanyol. In addition, he netted against Villarreal CF and Deportivo Alavés.

It's worth mentioning that four of his five goals have come with his favoured left foot. Against Alavés, he scored a wonderful goal from the edge the area while his penalty against Real Betis was also with his left boot. His first strike against Espanyol was a brilliant effort from outside the area and then, from practically the same spot as his goal against Alavés, he found the top corner again. But he can also finish with his right foot, as he demonstrated against Villarreal. On the cusp of half time, he brought us level with a very well-taken goal. Into double figures in his Sevilla career, he is averaging a goal every 3.8 games.
