Marcao and Juanlu spoke to the media after our Copa del Rey win over Racing de Ferrol. The Brazilian, who scored the game's opening goal, was very happy with the events at A Maleta despite coming at a very difficult time for him, having lost his father recently. "It was a tough battle on a difficult pitch, but overall we played well and we'll take the positives to our next match. Of course, it's been a difficult few days for me and for my family, but support from my wife, my daughters and my friends has given me strength. I'm really pleased with the result. On a personal note, I've spent a lot of time on the sidelines and it has taken a lot of hard work to get back to 100% fitness, so it was a great feeling to be back on the pitch with the boys."
Having scored the tie's winning goal, Juanlu was over the moon. "I've been dreaming of this moment for a long time. Scoring my first goal for Sevilla is a great feeling and I'm grateful to those that I see on a daily basis that have helped me on my journey. This is a tough place to come - they [Ferrol] had not lost here in over a year and we really had to fight, but we managed to secure the victory. The coach is very keen that we as defenders join the attack when appropriate and I'm very glad that today I was able to convert a chance and help the team."
