Head Coach García Pimienta spoke to the press today ahead of Sunday's home match against Girona FC, our LaLiga EA Sports Matchday 4 fixture. He revealed, "It has been a short yet productive week. We've had some rest and recovery but also some high-intensity training. I would like to wish Joan the very best at Alavés; he's a great professional. Saúl and Suso are the only players unavailable for the match and we're ready for a tough match against very talented opposition. We must give something back to the fans for spurring us on."

"We have to give it our all and show how much it means to us, give something for the fans to be proud of - even more so than just the result. I want them to see us give everything out there, doing all we can to pick up a victory. They deserve it," he added.

"We have to be tighter defensively, you can't lose if you keep a clean sheet"

Asked about the style of play to expect, he replied, "We have to be ready for everything. We want to be able to control the ball. We've dominated parts of the previous games so we must continue to do this as well as create more opportunities in front of goal. We also have to be tighter defensively, we were better against Mallorca but there's still plenty of room for improvement. If we keep a clean sheet we cannot lose! We're up against a tough team with a lot of individual talent, but we want to have plenty of the ball and push players forward."

"We are all aware of the size of this club. We need to start winning, obviously. We are in the middle of a transition, I'm not asking for time but we are on the right track and I'm satisfied with the progress. But we need to start putting some more points on the board."

"I'm sure we'll see a strike partnership at some point. There will be a time for everything"

He finished, "Streaks are there to be broken, and we are desperate to break this one. I'm sure we'll see a strike partnership at some point, there will be a time for everything. Sometimes we play with only one out-and-out striker, but five or six players arrive in the box when we are attacking."
