Sunday's huge win against Las Palmas saw us take a huge step towards securing safety in LaLiga, and saw our points tally rise to 18 points in our last 10 matches. Five victories, three draws and only two defeats have taken our average points per game to 1.8 since losing to CA Osasuna in Nervión on 28 January.
Only three teams in the league have a better record in that period: FC Barcelona (26), Real Madrid (24) y Villarreal CF (19). On the road, we havve picked up three victories, two draws and just one defeat, which came when the current leaders beat us narrowly 1-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu. Additionally, this period has consolidated our solid defensive record, which includes four clean sheets (1-0 against Atlético de Madrid and 0-0 on our trip to Valencia in February, as well as in the two most recent matchdays against Getafe CF and UD Las Palmas).
Three victories, two draws and one loss away from home
However, there is still work to do, firstly when we welcome RCD Mallorca to come to the Sánchez-Pizjuán, who are currently three points behind us and return to the city just two weeks after participating in the Copa del Rey final earlier this month.
