EN-NESYRI ENTERS LIST OF TOP 5 FOREIGN GOALSCORERS IN CLUB HISTORY

Youssef En-Nesyri has underlined his name in the history books of Sevilla FC. The Moroccan is having a magnificent season in the goalscoring department, which has allowed him to climb up the list of the club's all-time top scorers. Last season, he was ranked as the 20th highest scorer in the club's history, equal with López and Raimundo, with 53 goals, but the 19 goals he has already accumulated in the 2023/24 season have pushed him into the top 10. Last Sunday, with his goal against Granada CF, he equalled Wissam Ben Yedder's 70 goals, but now holds that 10th position for himself following this weekend's brace at Villarreal.

The top scorer in this prestigious list ranking remains Campanal I with 217 goals, followed by Arza with 206. The trio with over a hundred are none other than Araujo (159), Kanouté (136) and Luis Fabiano (107). They are followed by Suker with 90, Negredo with 86, Baby Acosta with 84 and Domenech with 78 goals. The next challenge for En-Nesyri is to overtake the Spaniard, who is now only six goals ahead of him. The striker also becomes the club's fifth highest foreign goalscorer alone, behind only Kanouté, Luis Fabiano, Suker and Baby Acosta, as well as the player to  have scored the most goals as a Sevilla player in the 21st century, surpassed only by Kanouté and Luis Fabiano, as well as Álvaro Negredo.

In terms of the current season, En-Nesyri has also managed to surpass, with three games still to play, the 18 goals he scored last season, the second most prolific of his time at Nervión. Only the 2020/21 season, in which he scored 24 goals, was superior in this respect. With games against Cádiz, Athletic Club and Barcelona still to come, Youssef En-Nesyri will remain hungry to add to his tally, which will, for a very long time to come, go down as that of a great Nervión goalscorer.
