Sevilla FC boss, Julen Lopetegui, spoke and gave his take on Sunday's game at Vallecas: "We have to value the point we took, even though we wanted three. We are upset. It's a tough place to go, not just because of the opponents, who are very good, but because the pitch's quality was poor. No team should be allowed to play on this type of pitch, not even Rayo. We have to be able to adapt to these types of circumstances.
"I don't know what to think of VAR because I don't know how to interpret it. That's even what the referees told us. The referee had already blew only for it to get reviewed again by VAR. It knocked us, clearly," he said when discussing VAR and the refereeing decisions.
Lopetegui ended by talking about Carmona's debut and the upcoming game in London in the last sixteen of the UEFA Europa League: "The team got through a complicated time and did well. All our attention is focused on this. We are halfway through the tie and we will try to recover the best we can to compete in the best way we can."
