West Ham managed to pick up all three points against Aston Villa this weekend in the Premier League (2-1). David Moyes' team got the win but had to wait until the second half to find the back of the net. Ukraine's national team captian, Andriy Yarrmolenko, opened the scoring with a gracious finish after he came off the bench to replace the injured Michail Antonio.
The visitors looked to get back on level terms in the last twenty minutes but eight minutes from the end Pablo Fornals was on hand to double the Hammers' lead. Aston Villa's Ramsey managed to cut the deficit in the last minute of added on time, but this wouldn't change the outcome of the game. Moyes was left feeling sorry after fullback Creswell also had to exit with an injury. The match leaves them sitting in sixth in the league ahead of the game against Sevilla FC.
WEST HAM: Fabianski; Johnson, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell; Fornals, Soucek, Rice, Benrahma; Lanzini and Michail Antonio. Off the bench: Yarmolenko, Fredericks and Diop.
