Sevilla Atlético head coach, Alejandro Acejo, was seen to be happy and pleased after the reserve team's victory against Betis Deportivo in the youth-team derby: "The win is a good one because we have to get the three points. We know very well that they're special games. If you have the opponent we had today in front of you, it tastes better. The important thing is to get the three points. The lads have put in a huge effort again. We continue depending on ourselves. We are still outside of the bottom three, that is the important thing."

Acejo gave credit to the hard work of a team that is getting closer to achieving survival: "The league is so demanding that you can't just relax. It's the first time we have had a one-match cushion for our two consecutive away trips. I am proud of the work of all the players who take part and all those who don't. This is a reward for them. To enjoy it and to think about the next game."

"The work they put in is huge. They have been playing games as if they were finals since the 14th of October. That's five months of playing finals. It is normal for them to compete in championships, to be immersed in that situation is a huge growth for them. It is going to make them grow a lot and they're putting in a huge effort. Being able to play these demanding matches, responding perfectly, it's thanks to a youth system that enjoys playing together, like we showed today," added the coach.

Lastly, the coach didn't want to leave without mentioning the support of the 2,300 Sevilla fans who drove the team on during the game: "It's beyond words. Ever since the moment they knew that we needed their support, they have spent five months cheering us on. Today, they did exactly the same. They showed again that the lads leave everything out on the pitch, just as they do in the stands. I'm thankful to them because they're part of this as well."
