There only remain 23 days until the eagerly anticipated UEFA Europa League final at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. Both club and city are fully immersed in this event, which kicked off this Monday at the headquarters of the Seville Tourist Office. The Paseo Marqués de Contadero, on the banks of the river Guadalquivir, hosted the unveiling of the lead-up events, that will continue to pop up in the city until the day of the final. Hosting, on behalf of club and city, were president, José Castro, and deputy director, Jesús Arroyo. Alongside them were the well-recognised Mayor of Sevilla, Antonio Muñoz, Andalusia Culture and Sports councillor, Manuel Alejandro Cardenete, and RFAF president, Pablo Lozano

In addressing the event, the mayor, Antonio Muñoz, stated that between 45 to 50 thousand fans are expected to come to the city for the final. Although he regrets that there will be no representatives from the city, nor Spain, the mayor said that "two of the four semifinalists are German and the other two are British, i.e. they come from the two main tourist source markets for Seville." Hence, it is estimated that the city's economy will be boosted by €60 million

Muñoz revealed what events will be organised parallel to the final, including the so-called 'Trophy Tour', which is the exhibition, both the original and giant replicas, of the trophy spread over different locations of the city. Cardenete likened this final to other sporting competitions, "beyond football", which will soon be organised in the autonomous community, such as the final phase of the Davis Cup in Malaga in November, the final of the Rugby King's Cup in Seville the 1st of May and the Motorcycle Grand Prix in Jerez, this same weekend.
