Yesterday afternoon, Monday 25th of April, saw the antepalco at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán host the fortieth anniversary of the inauguration of the stadium's mosaic. The well-known and reputed piece was designed by potter and sculptor Santiago del Campo. It was Carlos Romero, Sevilla FC history coordinator, who carried out a brief inaugural presentation for the event, where different talks were also given by different personalities, as well as speeches from family members of the artist highlighting the brilliance of his works.
José Castro, Sevilla FC president, would bring the event to a close with a brief and eloquent speech: "Sevilla FC has distinguished itself in recent decades by having a deep vocation to highlight our past. We were pioneers in incentivising a history department, whose notable and informative work has granted us this reputation and prestige. That work of the history department again brings us here today to pay tribute to our history. On this occasion, we celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the colossal mosaic that presides over the front of our stadium, the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán," said José Castro.
