Sevilla FC hit Ligue 1 side Angers SCO for six in Lagoa in our latest pre-season friendly in Portugal.
Julen Lopetegui's side were in control of long spells of the third friendly this month, and came out 6-0 winners with six goals created on the right-hand side, but all converted by different players.
The opening goal came from our second effort on goal, after Delaney had hired wide. It was a goal made in Argentina, as Montiel evaded his marker on the right to receive a pass from Papu Gómez. He then pulled it back for Ocampos who drilled it home at the near post.
Despite the dominant scoreline, the French side had chances to score, but the clearest of them all came just a few minutes after the opener. A rebound fell for Mendy inside the area, but his shot went narrowly wide of Dmitrovic's right-hand post.
Angers would pay for that mistake two minutes later. Once again, Papu was at the heart of the move, with a superb ball to Gudelj at the far post. The Serb laid it off perfectly for En-Nesyri who slammed it home from close range.
Dmitrovic was called into action not long after, getting a hand to Diony's deflected drive and tipping it onto the woodwork.
A few minutes into the second half, Thioub had the ball in the net for Angers, but the goal was ruled out for an obvious offside. However, the ball was rolling into the goal, and the scoreline would have been 2-1 if he had not tapped it home from two yards.
He paid dearly for the mistake as Sevilla moved clearly out of sight. Ocampos beat the offside trap shortly after, and set up an unmarked Tecatito for a simple tap-in.
Despite the numerous substitutions, Sevilla did not let up at all, and Lamela added a fourth barely minutes after his introduction, thanks to a cross from fellow substitute Jesús Navas after good work from Iván.
Two goals in the final minutes then followed, both set up by Navas. Iván was again involved in the build-up, before the club captain found Óliver Torres with a deflected cross. The midfielder made no mistake from around eight yards out.
Iván then got his reward for a strong showing in the second half, as he slipped free of his marker to head home a perfect cross from Jesús Navas.
With just 16 days until the league opener away at Osasuna, the team have reached the halfway stage in terms of pre-season fixtures. We will face Arsenal and Leicester on consecutive days in England, before the visit of Cádiz in the Antonio Puerta Trophy.
