The World Football Summit is coming to Sevilla. After five years in Madrid, this footballing congress comes to Andalusia's capital on Wednesday and Thursday.
Sevilla FC will be present in the event through our Innovation Center, both through speakers during the event and hosting the welcome dinner this Tuesday.
The speakers during the congress will be welcomed to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán by president José Castro, vice president José María del Nido Carrasco, CEO José María Cruz and subdirector general Jesús Arroyo.
Wednesday will see Monchi speak about the current difficulties in scouting for the academy despite the increase in technology. Monchi will be accompanied by Esteban Granero (Olocip), Lorena Torres (YouFirst) and Tony Asghar (Dundee United), with Irene Martínez moderating the talk.
The CEO, José María Cruz, will appear on Thursday to speak about the increasing importance of the Americas in European football. He will be joined by Jordan Gardner from FC Helsingør, Javier Sobrino from Aser Ventures and Ben Harburg from Cádiz CF. Simon Howard from Deloitte will be moderator.
We will also have participation from the Director of Football of our women's side, Amparo Gutiérrez. Vanessa Basora, Head of Branding, will also take part.
The Ayuntamiento of Sevilla estimate the WFS will bring in 18.5 million euros for the city, with over 2,500 participants and 170 speakers.
