NIANZOU SCORES ON HIS FRANCE U-21 DEBUT AGAINST BELGIUM (2-2)

After missing out on playing time against Germany, Tanguy Nianzou made his debut on Monday as a French under-21 international, in a friendly against their Belgian counterparts in the French city of Valenciennes.

The Parisian Defender, who until now had only made the U-20 squad, started on the left side of a centre-back pairing, and couldn't have gotten off to a better start. In fact, he scored his team's opener early in the second half, when he headed home a Cherki corner to get the equalizer.

However, the defender was unable to see out the victory for the young Frenchmen, as his goal served only to even the contest by cancelling out Ramazani's opener scored just before half time. Just 7 minutes later, in the 58th minute, Verschaeren got the Belgians' second of the night to give them a slight edge.

In the last 15 minutes of the tie, and after the departure of Tanguy, who made way for Lukeba, Elye Wahi scored the final goal of the match to ensure the honours were shared on the night. Following on from his outstanding debut, Nianzou returns to Sevilla right away to begin preparation for Saturday's clash against Atlético Madrid.
