"The results are all that matters, but now little by little we are gradually improving and getting more and more of Sampaoli's ideas every day," he said.

Marko Dmitrovic, Sevilla FC goalkeeper, was the guest on the set of 'A balón parado' on Thursday night, where the Serbian goalkeeper looked at the current situation of the side. Dmitrovic stressed that "we've always had confidence in ourselves, but the results weren't going our way. When you don't get results, doubts creep in and you start to doubt things you didn't previously..."

"The results are what's important, but now we're gradually improving and learning more and more of Sampaoli's ideas every day. It's a process that will take more than a few days, it's going to take time, although little by little we're seeing improvement and every game we're going to look more like what he wants."

Likewise, Dimitrovic, who is unbeaten with Sevilla while in goal, pointed out that "it's a nice statistic, although I always say that stats aren't what makes football, but it's better to have a nice statistic than a bad one. Whenever I play I always try to give my best to win the game. I hope the streak continues, at some point it will break, but the longer it lasts the better for everyone."

Dmitrovic also described Sampaoli: "He's very down to earth. He knows what he wants. He reminds me a lot of Mendilibar off the pitch. He talks to you about everything before training, about what he wants from you, about private life... When training starts, he's a commander. He demands a lot from you, he shouts, everything to help you and let you know what he wants. I really admire people who are demanding at work and down to earth outside of work."

Finally, about himself: "The goal either feels small or big depending on your confidence. From my experience, in a bad dynamic, you see the goal and you know that no matter where they shoot from, they're going to score. When it's the other way round, I always say that even if they shoot at me from a metre away, I'm going to stop it. You work hard and get into a rhythm, ready to compete at a high level. Training is not the same as playing because everything is controlled and expected while in the match everything happens in a few tenths of a second."
