MONTIEL, ACUÑA AND PAPU GÓMEZ CALLED UP FOR THE WORLD CUP

Gonzalo Montiel, Marcos Acuña and Alejandro Gómez have been included in the Argentina squad for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Their inclusion in the squad means that ten Sevilla FC players will be present at the tournament, which gets underway in nine days time. 

It will be the first time that Montiel and Papu have been at a World Cup, but Acuña was part of the squad in Russia four years ago and made his debut against Croatia.

Argentina get their World Cup campaign underway with the Group C fixture against Saudi Arabia on Tuesday 22nd November at 11:00 CET. Four days later, they face Mexico at 20:00, before their final group match against Poland on Wednesday 30th at 20:00. Before that, they have a warm-up match against the UAE on Wednesday 16th at 16:30.
