Lucas Ocampos loves playing against Cádiz. Thus is the second season in a row he has scored away to Cádiz: "It seems as if the ball falls to me to score when I play here, but above all I am happy with the victory and the three points, which are very important for us. We knew that they hadn't lost if for a while, that it is a difficult place to play and we made many changes, but we have understood what the coach wants from us. We won, and we still have time to change some things. This is a style of football which is more recognisable for Sevilla, we attack more and we had several chances. Winning is always important, it gives the team confidence because we have some tough fixtures yet exciting fixtures coming up. We have to prepare well and approach these matches in the best way possible."
Bryan Gil said that he would have played 90 minutes: "I am more happy than tired. I could have finished the match, but Suso did well and made the most of his time on the pitch. The crowd was angry with me, but I didn't ask for a penalty. Because of my build I often fall, and so I explained this to the players and the referee and they understood. This victory is great for our confidence and getting back onto a path we want to be on. We have played an important game, they were unbeaten here since September and it's a good result that we need to build on when we play Celta Vigo." On the second goal, he explained how "I saw En-Nesyri's run, I know that he likes to be in space and I played him into a good position so that he could score."
The last player to speak was our captain, Jesús Navas: "The three points are very important for getting confidence. We have stuck together and been compact, not made errors and that was important. I think that it has been an intense game but we have done well, working together across the pitch and making the most of chances to score goals. What the coach asks of us is that we are united."
