The international friendly was played in Beijing, and the world champions ran out 2-0 winners thanks to an early strike from Lionel Messi, before Germán Pezzella sealed the victory after the interval.

Lucas Ocampos, back in the national team, was an unused substitute in this afternoon's fixture.

Argentina's second and final match of this international break is scheduled for Monday, against Indonesia in Jakarta.
