GUDELJ: "WE'RE NOT SCARED OF ANY TEAM AND WE'RE NOT GOING TO BE NOW"

Both Nemanja Gudelj and Lucas Ocampos spoke alongside José Luis Mendilibar at the UEFA Super Cup pre-match press conference.

To start, Gudelj stated that "we're really looking forward to tomorrow. We've got a lot of ambition and confidence. It'll be a great match, but it'll be hard. We'll face it like we've always done. We're not scared of any team and we're not going to be now. We've shown everyone lots of times that against the big teams we get the best out of ourselves. When that happens, no opponent is too big for us. I don't think that last season's results against Man City are relevant. It's a new season, there are new players and new perspectives to analyse the game. I'm convinced that we're going to give our best with confidence."

As for Ocampos, he commented that "I'm really keen to face a great side and test ourselves again in this tournament. We're facing it with the teammates we have and the squad we have. We already knew that we would have pre-season to prepare, a league game and now a final against an opponent that we respect, we know the quality they have, but also the quality we have as we showed last year. We will face them with respect and we're looking to win here tomorrow."

On a personal level, he said that he's feeling "good, as always. It's true that the other day wasn't the game we all wanted, but that's gone and everyone has changed their focus, we know that we're 90 minutes away from a title. Speaking for myself, I'm motivated and keen to be there tomorrow and look for a new title with my teammates."

"I want us to compete for the whole game. Going into it thinking about a penalty shoot-out would be strange. We'll try to win it in 90 minutes, and if it goes to penalties then good for us, because we've done well in them before. But the idea is to compete for 90 minutes against a great team."
