Sevilla FC and RSC Anderlecht have reached an agreement for Thomas Delaney to join the Belgian side on a season-long loan.
The Danish international is not the only current player to join Anderlecht on loan, as Ludwig Augustinsson also signed for them on a season-long loan last week. Strangely enough, the two had also played together at FC Copenhagen and Werder Bremen before the pair signed for Sevilla.
Delaney has made 48 appearances for Sevilla since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund in August 2021, popping up with two goals: one against Athletic Club at San Mamés to secure a 1-0 win in December 2021, and an equaliser away at Rayo Vallecano in March 2022. He spent the latter half of last season on loan at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
Sevilla FC wishes Thomas the very best for the next step of his career.
