GONZALO MONTIEL JOINS NOTTINGHAM FOREST ON LOAN

Sevilla FC and Nottingham Forest FC have reached an agreement which will see Gonzalo Montiel join the Premier League side on a season-long loan, with the possibility of the move becoming a permanent one based on the completion of a number of clauses.

The Argentine joined the club in August 2021 from CA River Plate, and has made 72 appearances for the club: 46 in LALIGA EA SPORTS, eight in the Copa del Rey, nine in the UEFA Europa League, eight in the UEFA Champions League and one in the UEFA Super Cup.

Montiel will go down in the club's history as the man who secured the seventh UEFA Europa League success, scoring the winning penalty in Budapest. A few months previously, he also stepped up to take the winning spot-kick in the World Cup Final for Argentina against France.
