The Spanish national team triumphed 2-0 over Scotland at La Cartuja in Seville on Thursday night, with the first goal set up by Jesús Navas. Our club captain replaced Dani Carvajal at right-back in the 67th minute and within minutes delivered a magnificent cross that met the head of Alvaro Morata, who buried the ball into the net and set Spain on the path to victory. Sancet added a second to secure the win that takes Spain to being within a step of reaching Euro 2024.

Our only other player in action was Orjan Nyland, who was in goal for Norway as swept aside Cyprus 0-4 on their travels. Both players are expected to be back in action on Sunday as Norway face Spain in a crucial clash to decide who qualifies from the group for next summer's tournament.
