NAVAS AND ACUÑA, KEY FIGURES AGAINST REAL MADRID

Full-backs Jesús Navas and Marcos Acuña, two stand-out players against Real Madrid, both praised the squad's hard work and positive attitude following the arrival of Diego Alonso. Acuña explained that "the boys have worked very hard with the new coach in preparation for this game. We knew we needed to show some fight, and that is exactly what we did. We created plenty of chances and we could have taken away three points this evening, but we are very happy with how we played."

Navas also spoke to the press after the match. "I think we deserved more than just a point. The coach put emphasis that we needed to play with courage, and I feel that we did that. We were comfortable on the ball and managed the game well. It is a shame that we didn't manage to win, but we have to be happy with the way we fought today."
