IVAN RAKITIĆ: 50 COMPETITIVE GOALS FOR SEVILLA

Ivan Rakitić's goal at the Nuevo Mirandilla marks his 50th of his Sevilla career. Captaining the side, his strike levelled the scores and completed the fightback to earn a point. His first competitive goal for us came in February 2011, scoring against Hércules at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán.

The breakdown of his goals is as follows: 35 in LaLiga, 7 in the Copa del Rey, 4 in the Champions League and 4 in the Europa League. His best season in front of goal was the 2013/14 season; he managed 15 goals in 13 games in all competitions. His fourth and final season during his first spell at Sevilla was the 2013/14 season, helping the club to win its third Europa League. He then moved to FC Barcelona before returning in 2020. Since then he has found the back of the net 18 times, including the goal against Cádiz.

The Croat is one of only 3 players to have scored a LaLiga goal in each of the last 12 seasons, the others being Griezmann and Parejo. Rakitić continues to write his own story in Seville, fighting for the badge in each of his 309 competitive appearances.
