16 MINUTES FOR ACUÑA IN ARGENTINA'S DEFEAT TO URUGUAY

Marcos Acuña played 16 minutes in Argentina's 2-0 defeat to Uruguay. Our left-back replaced Tagliafico with the score still 1-0, but Darwin Núñez's late strike made sure of the result. Ronald Araujo had put Uruguay ahead in the first half. However defeat doesn't ruin Argentina's chances of qualifying for the next World Cup; they remain top of the group with 12 points, two more than Uruguay in second place.

In terms of Lucas Ocampos, Lionel Scaloni did not include him in the matchday squad. Their next match is an away fixture against Brazil. It is also part of the World Cup qualifying campaign and kicks off at 01:30 CET on Wednesday morning.
