DIEGO ALONSO: "WE MUST KEEP FIGHTING AND TRUSTING THAT OUR EFFORTS WILL BE REWARDED"

Diego Alonso reflected upon our defeat at the Reale Arena. "We conceded early on in unfortunate circumstances and then there's nothing you can do about the second. From long range, right into the top corner. But other than that, the first half was pretty equal. We didn't really create enough clear-cut chances, but we were much better after the break. I feel like the result is a little unfair. We changed what we needed to change but we couldn't find the equaliser. But we must keep our heads up knowing that we played well. We have been made to pay for conceding twice early on."

"During the second half, we played like we wanted - with authority whether home or away. Against a very good side, we played well. I have no complaints with the players. We'll go again on Wednesday to try and get the victory that we need. We are hurting. But we can't give up, we have to trust that our efforts will be rewarded."
