Morocco's second group game in the Africa Cup of Nations finished in a 1-1 draw against the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A victory would have secured their place in the knockout stages having won their opening match against Tanzania. En-Nesyri started once again and the Moroccans took an early lead through Hakimi. But the DR Congo, having missed a first-half penalty, pegged them back late on.
En-Nesyri came off just after DR Congo's equaliser and Morocco did not manage to find a winning goal that would have guaranteed qualification. But they remain in a very strong position heading into the final group game - kicking off at 21:00 CET against Zambia on Wednesday.
