Club president Del Nido Carrasco spoke to the media following the shareholders' Extraordinary General Meeting on Monday
Cuerpo Superior

He began with the following statement: "We have reached a point of institutional and financial stability. We have gone through the necessary process, we have stuck to the letter of the law and made every decision in the best interests of Sevilla FC."

99% of the economic data presented at the meeting has been approved by the shareholders. Del Nido Benavente and 777 Partners have done all they can. Eight days after taking office, an Extraordinary General Meeting was called. Holding a meeting every three months is not good for the club," he continued.

"We will keep working as hard as we can to ensure the success of our project."

The president went on to explain that "I have been with Sevilla for almost 17 years. In the last 15 months we have held four general meetings. I had an idea of how it could be. I didn't dedicate too much time to the meeting because my priority is Sevilla FC, and we will continue to our utmost to breathe new life into a sporting project that Sevilla fans can be proud of. There is a new setback to overcome every day."

Del Nido Carrasco also highlighted that "Del Nido Benavente has filed many lawsuits and we are still here. The meeting is over and we now return to what matters, which is the success of this club. The most important thing right now is the next match, Getafe, giving our backing to the coach and his players."

"Our focus is on the next game, at Getafe."

"When an Extraordinary General Meeting is called, if there is no clear question and answer, we cannot use the opportunity to discuss other topics at random. At each juncture, there is a designated point of discussion. We cannot turn it into a show. I have tried to do as little damage as possible to Sevilla FC with this type of meeting, which is always uncomfortable," the president concluded.
