Quique Sánchez Flores spoke to the press following the 2-0 victory against UD Las Palmas, stating that "we were certainly the better side during the first half, showing our intent going forward, although that doesn't guarantee anything. We controlled the ball well and created good chances, but we lost our way a bit after the break. However, ultimately the quick counter-attacks proved fruitful."
Our head coach then highlighted the importance of keeping another clean sheet. "I'm delighted that we managed to keep another clean sheet; this is how we build confidence. We were very good during the first half and I understand we lost our grip of the game during the second, but we played how we wanted to play and secured a comfortable victory."
Finally, he commented on the rest of the season. "We have to be careful because we have plenty of tough games coming up. But we'll keep working hard so get the results that we want."
