The Under-19s have been drawn against Real Betis Balompié in the final four of the Copa de Campeones. Lolo Rosano's side beat Deportivo La Coruña 2-0 in the Quarter-finals while Real Betis overcame UD Las Palmas by five goals to one having qualified for the knockout stages as the best second-placed team. The Under-19s won their group by nine points. The match will be played in Nerja at 20:30 CEST on Thursday while the final takes place at 12:00 CEST on Sunday.
The Under-19s have never faced Real Betis in the Copa de Campeones. Since the 2011/12 campaign, when the number of teams was increased to eight and therefore opening a space for the best second-placed team of all seven groups, the Under-19s have only faced another Andalusian side once - Málaga CF. That game was the 2015/16 final in Vera, in which Málaga won via penalty shoot-out.
During this season's league campaign, the Under-19s came out victorious both home and away. Bakary secured a 1-0 win at home before Collado and David López scored to claim a 2-0 away win. Real Betis's best finish in the competition was runner-up last season while the Under-19s have reached the final on six occasions, winning the trophy in 2011/12 and 2012/13. Their most recent appearance was that defeat to Málaga eight years ago.
