NAVAS STARTS AND GETS AN ASSIST IN SPAIN'S 5-1 WIN AGAINST NORTHERN IRELAND

Spain made it two wins in two friendlies as they continued their preparations ahead of Euro 2024. Jesús Navas, who played the second half against Andorra on Wednesday, was involved from the start at Son Moix against Northern Ireland, helping himself to an assist for Spain's second goal. 

Northern Ireland had taken an early lead through Daniel Ballard but Luis de la Fuente's side turned the game around with two goals from Pedri and goals from Morata and Fabián Ruiz in the first half. Navas was substituted in the second half for Dani Carvajal as Mikel Oyarzabal scored the fifth on the night. Spain will play their first match of the Euros at 18:00 (CEST) on Saturday against Croatia.
