LUKEBAKIO STARTS IN BELGIUM’S WIN AGAINST ROMANIA

The winger was replaced by Trossard just before the hour mark and will miss the clash with Ukraine due to suspension

Saturday saw Matchday 2 of UEFA EURO 2024 draw to a close with Belgium’s win against Romania. While Gudelj came off the bench for Serbia and Navas was an unused substitute for Spain, Lukebakio did start for his country this weekend.

The winger was lively on the wing in the first half of the 2-0 win, with Tielemans scoring inside two minutes before De Bruyne wrapped up the result in the second half.

Before being replaced by Trossard in the 55th minute, Dodi was booked for the second time in the tournament, meaning he will miss the decider against Ukraine. Belgium need to win to qualify without depending on the result of Romania v Slovakia.

The next Sevillista who could feature is Jesús Navas, as Spain face Albania on Monday.
