MONTIEL STARTS AS ARGENTINA BEAT CANADA TO REACH COPA AMÉRICA FINAL

Gonzalo Montiel helped Argentina through to the final of the Copa América as they beat Canada 2-0 in the semi-final. The right-back started at the Meadowlands Stadium, where Julián Álvarez put Argentina ahead in the first half. With the game settled after a second goal for Argentina from Messi, he was substituted having played 71 minutes. Marcos Acuña was on the bench.

Argentina will face the winner of the second semi-final clash between Colombia and Uruguay in the final next Sunday. The match, in which Scaloni's team are dreaming of winning a triple crown (Copa América, World Cup, and Copa América), will be held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
