Head coach
Following the departure of García Pimienta, Las Palmas appointed fellow Catalan Luis Carrión in the summer. During his playing days Carrión played primarily in the Segunda División B, making 262 appearances for Barcelona B, Gimnàstic de Tarragona, and several other clubs. He began his managerial career in 2011 with Espanyol's women's team, winning the Copa de la Reina in 2012. He then moved to the men's game, serving as an assistant at Córdoba and later managing their reserves and first team. After stints at Melilla and Numancia, Carrión joined Cartagena, achieving two ninth-place finishes before moving to Real Oviedo in 2023. In June 2024, he signed with Las Palmas - his first top-flight job.
Stadium
The Estadio Gran Canaria is the home of UD Las Palmas. Opened in 2003, it has a seating capacity of 32,400, making it the largest stadium in the Canary Islands. Initially multi-purpose, it was remodeled in 2014 to become a football-specific stadium. It was recently announced that it would be one of the 11 host venues for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
