Loïc Badé has signed a contract renewal that will keep him at the club until June 2029. The French centre-back first arrived here during the 2022/23 January transfer window, on loan from Stade Rennais FC. Only a few months later he helped lift our seventh UEFA Europa League title. He played a crucial role in that campaign, scoring against Manchester United in the quarter-finals.

After the club triggered the option to buy, Badé had a very successful 2023/24 campaign, playing 33 matches in all competitions. This meant that he made 60 appearances for the club in a season and a half.

His fine form saw him earn a place in France's Olympic Games squad. He was a key part of the starting lineup as France reached the final, earning a silver medal. In fact, he received his first call-up to the French national team ahead of this international break.
