45 MINUTES FOR MONTIEL AS ARGENTINA DRAW WITH VENEZUELA

Gonzalo Montiel played 45 minutes as Argentina drew 1-1 away from home against Venezuela. The defender came on for Thiago Almad at halftime and saw an early first-half goal from Nicholas Otamendi cancelled out midway through the second half from Salomón Rondón.

Despite the draw, Argentina still top the qualifying group on 19 points and will next face Bolivia in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
