Nemanja Gudelj spoke of the 'Gol a Gol' programme from Andalucía Televisión. He began by speaking about the current mood in the squad: "Things are going well for us, the team is developing a lot and we are doing what the coach wants. On Friday we played a very complete game. We knew that our opponents were going to come out on the front foot at home but we played well to get the three points."

He was grateful for the affection of the fans: "I'm proud that the fans speak so highly of me. Everything is pure hard work and you can't buy that, you can't give it away. You have to earn it on the pitch." He also spoke about his aims: "You always aspire to return Sevilla to where we have been and what this great club deserves. For this season, it must be to get into Europe and win the cup. That would be nice." He also referred to the pride of being captain, also reflected in the figure of Jesús Navas: "To be captain of Sevilla is to transmit that feeling of playing and living the club. Jesús is incredible, a phenomenon, a legend... he is an example for adults and children alike. An example for life."

On the win against Espanyol he noted the reaction of the squad: "We were coming off the back of a difficult defeat against Barcelona but we showed our quality and the strength of the group. On García Pimienta he said: "The coach has created a great unity in the group, knowing when to be serious and when to be a friend. Then the vision that the coach has is what we want to be. He conveys a lot of calmness to the group, he trusts in his work and that shows. I didn't know before about his contract extension but they wanted to bring stability and I think it's one of the best things they've done."

"To be captain of Sevilla is to transmit that feeling of playing and living the club"

To close he spoke about the future aims: "I always think positively and I believe that Sevilla must aim as high as possible. The project is growing and we have a lot of room for improvement." The Serbian finished with a message to the fans: "Thank you for always being behind us and for helping us at a difficult time. Thanks to them we are getting out of it and I can say that I have a lot of confidence for the future."
