García Pimienta spoke after the win against Rayo Vallecano at home and acknowledged it was a hard-fought three points: “We are happy with the game. I think we played a very disciplined game. Rayo had chances and were well-drilled. They are able to have possession but at the same time, they can run at you with speed and create danger. We had the game more or less under control and it was what we wanted it to be. You attack, you have an extra player and it looks like it's going to be easy. We didn't score a second despite having clear chances from Isaac and Lukebakio. They press, you want to protect what you have and everyone gets a little bit nervous. It's difficult to explain, but it happens and the opponent creates chances to score. We are happy with our work and the important thing today was to win. We have achieved it and we have to keep working."

Now it's time to rest and prepare for the next match after a long week: “Osasuna have started in an unbeatable way. Today they were winning against Villarreal and ended up drawing, but they were able to beat Barcelona scoring four goals. Every game is difficult and we know it, but when a team comes to you in good form with results, it is even more difficult. The stadium will be full, the fans will push us on and I am sure we will play a good game."

"Isaac plays because he deserves to and the fans recognised that"

In terms of players, he highlighted the work of Isaac: “We see him on a daily basis and he is playing because he deserves it. It's true that he hasn't scored, but today he provided the assist, won duels and is a nuisance for the Rayo defence. He creates a lot of things and today he provoked the red card. It is true that he had a couple of good chances, but nobody wants to score more than him. That's why the fans recognise all the good things he does. I'll say it now today on Matchday 14. He has scored zero goals so far but he is going to end up scoring a lot this season."

Lastly, he spoke about the goalscorer: "Sow is a quality player. Injuries and competition for players in the squad have made it difficult. We were joking before the game that his last goal was against Rayo and we said that he would score today. We want the strikers to score but when midfielders chip in it's good. Today we won the game because of that."
