David Losada was the main guest on 'Triple V' this past Thursday. During the interview, he discussed the most current topics regarding the Sevilla women's first team, although he first shared his personal feelings about the initial months in charge of the team: "I feel great, with a lot of self-demand. People talk to me about pressure, but I put the pressure on myself through that self-demand, wanting the team to become more consistent and to give the fans, to whom we owe everything, joy and stability. I’m very happy, knowing that it 's an important challenge and that the players are helping me a lot." In this regard, he also highlighted that "the experience within the club's women's football staff has been essential. I had an initial phase, when I joined as coordinator, where I was tasked with helping Cristian Toro as his assistant in my first season here. I think that flooded me with experience and helped me a lot to understand the context, because often, although it's a good topic, the contexts are different. We can know a lot about football, but understanding the context on the ground is more unique. Men's football has its particularities, and women's football has its own. These six or seven years I've spent with the youth teams and the experience gained alongside Cristian, to whom I owe a lot for teaching me that path and how a locker room works, and Amparo, who has a PhD in that regard, honestly, they’ve made it much easier for me."

Additionally, he reiterated the importance of finding the right momentum in results: "We always talk a lot about finding that consistency, but it's something that's happening to us this season, and we are working on it with the coaching staff and the players. For me, the most notable thing about the match against Dépor is that we had to win no matter what. In that self-demand, I am satisfied with the result, and they are all satisfied with the result, but they know that the match wasn't good. We play good matches against teams with a higher budget or level than ours, and then, against other teams that are more evenly matched with us, we encounter difficulties. And that is a reality. We've seen matches like the one against Real Sociedad, which we won, a team that is at the top; the match against Barcelona, even though we lost; the one against Atlético, which was too cruel and the red card limited us; and then you find matches like the one against Tenerife, even though they were second and the excuse was the artificial grass, and the match against Granada. These are matches where we completely disconnect, myself first, as always, but it's true that we are trying to turn that around and follow a more consistent path with fewer ups and downs.”

"The demand makes the team have a lot of room to keep growing, and that's what they're working on."

In an assessment of the first third of the season, he mentioned a grade close to "good," but always with high expectations: "If we put this first third of the league into a poll and analyze the entire context of a completely renewed team, the age of the squad, the inexperience of a large part of the team, and a new coaching staff, I would rate it between a 6.5 and 7. It is true that given what was available and what could be done, the management of the sporting management deserves a lot of credit. And I believe that, in this context, Amparo has managed to put together a great team. This demand also comes from the fact that they can give more and have a lot of room to continue growing. They are in that phase where they can keep growing, learning, and improving.” Returning to the topic of consistency, he also mentioned that "in the end, getting results, even if the play isn't exactly what you'd like, will give you the confidence to do more. Our Achilles' heel is the offensive play because we want to have much more involvement than we are currently having. It is true that there is a reality we see in the players on the team, based on the qualities of the footballers, to make the most of what we’re doing, being organized and then transitioning with few touches, trying to get forward quickly. We have players who transition quickly, who are fast, and who attack space well, but we also have other players who are capable of providing that pause and order. The ideal would be to find that balance.”

On the cup's opponents: "We are going to face a great team, but the situation will be completely different."

To close with the current topics, he evaluated the Copa de la Reina draw that will take them to Granada "The team celebrated the opportunity to get rid of that frustration quickly because it's very much on our minds. I haven’t healed from the wound because we didn’t perform well. When Granada came up in the draw, the players were happy because they said they would be able to get rid of that frustration. It’s an opponent that gave us a tough match. They are doing very well, they have a very defined style with their own identity, and they are losing that fear of not trusting in doing things. We are going to face a great team, but the situation will be completely different."
