Nemanja Gudelj spoke to the media after visiting the Virgen Macarena Hospital in Sevilla, with the vice-captain beginning by reflecting on his experience on Wednesday morinng: "It was a very special day. It's a great feeling knowing that just with your presence you can make the children really happy."

He went on to discuss this Saturday's game, and its significance for both the fans and for Jesús Navas: "For us, it's an important game, above all because in the last two games we deserved much more and now it's the last home game of 2024 and the last game before the legend Jesús Navas' last game in front of the fans, so we have to give everything to make it the best farewell possible."

"I'm the vice-captain and for me it's a great honour and a great responsibility, so we have to be there and show the new players and the youngsters what Sevilla FC is all about. For me it's an honour and it makes my hair stand on end and I've always given everything for this club since I arrived here and I'm going to give my all on the pitch."

"It's our captain's last game and we want to give everything so that he leaves here happy"

Regarding the defeat at the Metropolitano, Gudelj admitted ‘we all feel terrible. We played well for an hour, then the game slipped away in the last 15 minutes. All we can now do is analyse our performance, make up for our mistakes and then focus on the next .match"’. On the subject of the team's targets, he stressed that "I don't want to talk about objectives, but I do want to say that a club like Sevilla always has to look upwards and now we are a group in transition, so we have a lot of potential. We are still working to be where we deserve to be."

On another note, he spoke of the team's commitment despite the recent results: "I'm very happy with the team's work. We have played good football, and put   good work and effort, so I think we deserved more, but we are growing as a group." He pointed out that "the affection that this group has for the badge means we want to give our all, and these results makes us very angry. I think that's because of the club's values. The team has lots quality though so the potential is definitely there.
