GARCÍA PIMIENTA: "THE DIFFERENCE WAS THAT THEY WERE MORE CLINICAL"

Xavi García Pimienta spoke following our elimination from the Copa del Rey after losing to UD Almería in the round of 32. He began by saying "It was a game of two halves. In the first half, we came out very well and we were rewarded with a goal, but we weren't clinical in front of goal in the second half. They made it 2-1 very quickly and then we couldn't come back. Almería were very effective and we have to congratulate them on progressing through." He also highlighted that “the equalising goal was a great goal and immediately after they made it 2-1 and there was still a lot of the second half to play. We had some chances, but when Almería scored the third, it was very hard. The difference was that they were more clinical." 

To finish he spoke about moving on and now focusing on the league: "Today is a very difficult day because we have been knocked out of the cup and unfortunately that is the end of the journey. Now against Valencia, we have to see what this team is really made of."
