Saúl Ñíguez and Loïc Badé spoke after the defeat in the last 32 of the Copa del Rey against UD Almería. The captain and midfielder reflected on the game: “The feeling is that we could have gone into half time leading by more. We couldn't make the most of our chances and in the second half we didn't know how to manage being behind. There are many things to improve and we have to take full responsibility. We have to be self-critical and understand that the fans have taken it out on us. It's good that we are together, the team went to thank them for the trip and to try to calm the mood, as we were very excited about the cup."
Badé also spoke of the lack of effectiveness: “I think we should have finished the first half with more goals and thus been calmer and in the second half we failed both in attack and defense. We lacked a little bit of humility in the second half because we lowered our level and we have to learn and do everything we can to change things."
