RUBÉN VARGAS: "SEVILLA ARE A CLUB WITH A LOT OF HISTORY"

Our first signing of 2025, Rubén Vargas, was officially unveiled at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. He began by saying how happy he was to about signing for the club: "My first few days were very good, I have already felt a good connection with the club. I'm very happy to be here." He added that there were no doubts when it came to joining: "When I had the first meeting with the club and Victor, I had a good connection. Sevilla are a club with a lot of history. I didn't want to go anywhere else. I told my agent that I wanted to come to Sevilla." 

In addition, the Swiss player spoke about his desire to help the team: "I am an offensive player who can also defend. I just want to help the team. The first game went very well, I had a good feeling with the fans. I want to win every game with this team. It's important to be positive going into the next game. I'm a player with a lot of experience playing in the Bundesliga, in the league I'm going to feel good. I am now going to play for a team that has a lot of the ball. I'm very happy and I feel better every day,” he added.

On his arrival, Ruben Vargas said he spoke with his compatriot Sow: “I spoke a lot with Sow, he told me it was a great club for me and he thought I could also help the team. So it was all very positive." Finally, Vargas highlighted the great atmosphere he experienced at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in the draw against Valencia CF: “It was special. When we scored the equaliser the fans made a lot of noise, I loved it. That's the goal we have to have in all home games, it will be good for us."
